HUMBERTO FONTOVA IS ALIVE AND WELL: MBC Blogger Flees New Orleans, Loses House

We are pleased to announce that Moonbat Central blogger Humberto Fontova is alive and well, along with his wife and family. The Fontovas escaped Hurricane Katrina. This welcome news comes from Charlie Bravo at the KillCastro blog. In a post of Friday, September 2, Charlie Bravo shares an e-mail from one of Humberto’s relatives, who writes:
“I am Humberto’s god-daughter and second cousin. Their house in Covington is destroyed, Humberto, Shirley and the family are OK. They do not know the status of his father’s house in Metairie yet. I am hoping to hear more from the family today, I am getting news from other family members in Houston. I just stumbled onto your blog and thought I would give you an update.”
Here at Moonbat Central, we have not heard from Humberto since the Cuban-born author, blogger and FrontPage contributor registered with MBC on August 15.
After he signed on, nearly two weeks passed with no blog posts from Humberto — presumably because he was busy promoting his new book, Fidel: Hollywood’s Favorite Tyrant. Then Katrina struck.
I did not even realize that Humberto lived in New Orleans, until I read Charlie Bravo’s post this afternoon. We are saddened to hear that Humberto lost his house, but relieved and happy that the Fontovas survived the storm. Our prayers go with them.
