HILLARY CAVES ON GROUND ZERO MEMORIAL: After Ducking Moonbat Central for Weeks, Hillary Finally Denounces Anti-American 9/11 Museum

For nearly two months, Hillary Clinton dodged phone calls, faxes and e-mails from Moonbat Central blogger Rocco DiPippo. Neither Hillary nor her flacks would tell DiPippo whether or not the junior senator from New York supported the so-called International Freedom Center (IFC) — a museum which will stand on the site of the fallen World Trade Center. The IFC reportedly plans to desecrate Ground Zero with exhibits on the evils of black slavery, the Jim Crow South, the oppression of American Indians, abuse of terrorist prisoners at Abu Ghraib and other anti-American themes.
Last night, Hillary finally broke her silence.
“I cannot support the IFC,” she told Deborah Orin of The New York Post. “While I want to ensure that development and rebuilding in lower Manhattan move forward expeditiously, I am troubled by the serious concerns family members and first responders have expressed to me. The LMDC [Lower Manhattan Development Corp.] has authority over the site and I do not believe we can move forward until it addresses their concerns.”
Senator Clinton’s reference to “family members” and “first responders” seems disingenuous at best. New York police, firemen and 9/11 families have been screaming about the IFC since June, when the Wall Street Journal first published details of the museum’s planned anti-American exhibits. Until now, Hillary has ignored their protests.
So why speak out now? We note that Hillary made her announcement on the very night that Hurricane Rita was scheduled to make landfall. Also, Hillary made her statement exclusively to The New York Post, rather than in an open press conference. Consequently, there is no video of her statement for TV outlets to pick up. Everything about this statement seems calculated to attract as little attention as possible — probably so Hillary can reverse her position later without too many people noticing.
That said, we must give Hillary her due. At least she finally said something. We cannot say the same for Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, widely regarded as Hillary’s most likely Republican challenger in the 2006 Senate race.
Pirro too has been dodging Moonbat Central since early August. “When I asked repeatedly whether Mrs. Pirro was for or against the IFC, a member of her press office refused comment,” reports Rocco Dipippo in a Moonbat Central (MBC) post of September 16.

Check out what others are saying about this post...Why is that thing such a hot potato? I don’t understand that.
Right now democrats seem to be in a reconstruction phase to get back to their original values and leave those moonbats alone. Nobody is going to vote for moonbats. They finally realizing that.
New York City is propably the most intelligent and most creative town in the US. They should come up with better solutions than an IFC. From the outside it looks to me as it is a small minority of activists who wants to remind America of true and imagined mistakes.
Taking the massacres on native amerincans the lesson out of it is to have a strong home security to stop any invaders.
The lessons out of the evils of black slavery is to fight against an ideology who promotes slavery. They US learned this lessons very early and fought slavery and up to this day is doing so.
The Abu Ghraib incident showed that the US is NOT behind those behaviour. Those criminals got prosecuted by the US. How is that in other countries? Iran? Syria? Saudi?
I believe an IFC is a good idea (not on that place though) if it includes what the US made out of it.
Werner asks: “Why is that thing such a hot potato? I don’t understand that.”
The problem lies in the fact that the IFC’s supporters know they do not have grassroots support for their project. Neither the people of New York nor any other patriotic Americans would support this museum, if they really knew its purpose.
Therefore, the IFC supporters have had to operate in secret. They never wanted anyone to know what sorts of anti-American exhibits they were planning. Their plan was to keep everything under wraps until opening day.
However, negative reports about the IFC began leaking out in June. Local media in New York tried to cover for the IFC by publishing phony stories and phony push polls giving the impression that 9/11 families supported the museum. Local media have also failed to explain what a profoundly anti-American message the IFC would convey. They kept New Yorkers in the dark about the real nature of the controversy.
Hillary is now trying to cover her backside, by saying she opposes the IFC, just in case the issue spills over into the streets. But, so far, it has not spilled over. The toothpaste is still in the tube. Most New Yorkers still do not know the full story of the planned desecration of Ground Zero.
Hillary is going to have a very difficult time walking the thin tightrope of keeping the ultra left base happy and also appealing to the center. She knows that anything she says now will be thrown in her face by someone.
It looks like she just may turn out to be a flip-flopper like JFKerry — trying to keep everyone happy for political gain.
This is one of the reasons why GWBush is so appealing. He says what he means and he means what he says.
Speaking as an Economist/Historian, I have to say that it is all quite legitimate to analyze the various negative aspects of U.S. History, but not in that venue. It was extremely inappropriate.
BTW, I made it through Hurricane Rita here in Houston all right. Just to let you know the difference between Texas and Louisiana, we had a local Wal-Mart looted here and sixteen looters were immediately apprehended before they could leave the store.

God bless you, sir! You Gulf Coasters have been in our prayers here at MBC.
As for those Wal-Mart looters, they should be clapped in irons and assigned to body collection in New Orleans.
Now we’ve got a “statement” from Hillary Clinton in opposition to the WTC mock-morial.
Any more advice MBC would like to offer to increase Hillary’s “electableness” in 2006 / 08 I’m sure will be appreciated.
By Hillary.
Mr. Beamish, are you suggesting that we rendered a service to Her Heinous by pursuing this story?

She divines her public face from polling. Change the polling, and you change Hillary.
The Democrats seeking the nomination will crush Hillary for us in the primary season. All her dirty little secrets will come out from within. A Republican will win in ’08 and all will be as I have foreseen! Moo hoo ha ha ha!
The left plans a museum filled with info they use to destroy traditional America. Hamas plans a museum filled with terrorist weapons used to destroy Israel. Anybody recognize the parallels with these two groups? Other than their alliance with each other?
If her allies during Bill’s campaign turn against her, does that mean one of them is likely to leak that college paper she is hiding? (Master’s thesis?)
[…] Hillary has finally come out against the we-hate-America addtion to the 9/11 Memorial, which has been decried by first responders, 9/11 families and conservatives for months. I wonder how many polls and studies it took before she decided this would be politically advantageous? […]
Pirro has said nothing because she is a weak RINO – as N.E. “Republicans” tend to be.

Who? John Kerry? John Edwards? Al Sharpton? Dennis Kucinich? Carol Mosely-Braun? Howard Dean? Richard Gephardt? Joe Lieberman? Kathleen Blanco? Barack Obama? Barney Frank? Michael Moore?
I understand a Hillary Clinton nomination is almost a foregone conclusion. I do possess a level of comfort in knowing that this will destroy the Democratic Party’s electoral chances for a few decades, in ways that having a Communist windsurfing war protester prancing on a boat-shaped stage pretending to be the inspiration of the movie Apocalypse Now couldn’t.

If a Republican runs.
Good writing, All! I am curious now about Hillary’s masters thesis. What gives?

Having spent a decade one year and a half in Maine, you are being kind with what you have said.
Many of them are approaching being communists.

“Hil’s College Thesis Reveals Her Mind”
by Barbara Olson
The Daily News, January 17, 2000
The late and much missed Barbara Olson. It is interesting to read about Senator Clinton’s Thesis. To be honest, I am not surprised. She decided what would be best for her to acquire power. She chose to be a leftist. Then she married a man who would be best to help her achieve this power.
No surprise at all.
I of course meant “Republican” politicians of the NE – not regular folk, but like the left coast, the paradigm shift to the left is indeed severe in the NE.
Seems even the staunchest conservatives are browbeaten or just disgusted to the point of being cynical.
I imagine there are numerous exceptions, but it certainly seems the rule.
Must be all the union influence.
There is far less in the midwest and south so the majority of conservatives tend to actually be conservative – even the politicians.
There are no Jim Jeffords or Christine Whitmans south of the Mason-Dixon – or between the Appalachians and Sierras.
This being a democracy, one might be tempted to let them reap what they sow, but this being a federation, we all reap what they sow.
Certain vital lines must not be crossed.
Treason, sovereignty, and false propaganda are the most important.
This is something the left wants us to forget, and so far, they have succeeded way too much.
It is high time patriots began to name things what they are and boldly confront our domestic enemies by dragging them kicking and screaming into the sunlight.
It is the only way we can win.
Evil never sleeps.
I don’t think any of Hillary Clampett’s democrat rivals have a chance against her, either. She’ll do everything but have them killed. But if Condoleeza Rice agrees to run on the Republican ticket, I won’t be afraid. She would probably be an even better president than Mr. Bush.
[…] Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who I’ve been pressing for her views on the IFC for over a month, may or may not have come out against the IFC shortly after Giuliani made his statement. "Ground Zero has to reflect the reality of the heroes who died there," she said. "It is about the people who were victimized as a result of the hatred of America." […]
