Web Site of Revolutionary Communist Party Places David Horowitz and Eight Other Conservatives on Harassment Hit List

“No free speech for fascists!” screamed two burly ruffians as they charged the stage where David Horowitz was attempting to speak. “I probably would have suffered some bodily harm,” Horowitz later wrote on his blog. Luckily, he writes, about half a dozen supporters “sprang to my rescue and beat the living crap out of the two deserving reds, dragging them unceremoniously from the theater.” (1)

Mr. Horowitz was fortunate. But he remains a target. We now know that the October 21 attack at the Liberty Film Festival in Los Angeles was no random event. It is part of a wider effort, orchestrated by the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP).

The RCP’s so-called “World Can’t Wait!” campaign seeks to intimidate conservatives through thuggery.

Screenshot of the hit list posted on the Web site of the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP). At least two people on the list – one of them David Horowitz – have been subjected to aggressive physical harassment by operatives of the RCP’s “World Can’t Wait!” campaign.

On its Web site, the RCP has published a hit list of nine prominent conservatives whom it deems “Nazis” or “fascists”, deserving of special odium. David Horowitz appears on the list, as does Berkeley law professor John Choon Yoo.

Charles Clark Kissinger of the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP)

Professor Yoo earned the RCP’s wrath when he advised the Defense Department in a memo of January 9, 2002 that terrorist prisoners are unlawful combatants, ineligible for protection under the Geneva Conventions. (2)

RCP thugs invaded Professor Yoo’s classroom last week, on October 26, forcing him to flee. The perpetrators later boasted of their achievement on their blog. (3)

The nine names on the RCP hit list are: Ann Coulter; Lieutenant General William G. “Jerry” Boykin; David Horowitz; Pat Robertson; William Bennett [pdf file]; Louisiana National Guard Brigadier General Gary Jones [pdf file]; Barbara Bush [pdf file]; Congressman Richard Baker [pdf file] and Berkeley law professor John Choon Yoo, in that order.

The World Can’t Wait! campaign appears to be the brainchild of one Charles Clark Kissinger, a former SDS leader who today serves as a high-level organizer in the Revolutionary Communist Party. (4) Kissinger created the anti-war coalition Not in Our Name, which is working closely with the World Can’t Wait! campaign.

The attacks on Horowitz and Yoo are just the beginning. Kissinger’s World Can’t Wait! network plans a nationwide mobilization beginning November 2 – the first anniversary of George W. Bush’s alleged theft of the 2004 election (yes, they claim he stole that election too).

  1. Pedro says:

All I ask is that we PLEASE don’t assume all Democrats agree with these extremists! It’s just not true!!! PLEASE!!!

  2. ralphbprice says:

    Senor Pedro,
We can actually look at things objectively, believe it or not. There are elements of the right that we would rather not have to deal with. After all, having been accused of being a communist by certain people, this is certainly quite the opposite from what most commentators here believe. The only question that I would pose is this: Will those Democrats who see this for what it truly is condemn this kind of thing? It all remains to be seen. It has been said the greatest crime is when good men who see the bad do nothing (I have misquoted this I realize, but the essential truth is still there.)

  3. Sharikov says:

Domestic terrorism – seems like good info that should be passed to the FBI.

If dhimmicats don’t want to be implicated as being in same league as the above terrorists then they should not behave as the practitioners of the “religion of peace” do – by remaining silent on the issue of worldwide terror/war waged in its name and similar/related issues.

Instead those on the left should loudly, clearly, and regularly denounce the above and their terrorist activities. Now would be an excellent time to start.

Perhaps your MsM could be enlisted in a “news”/info campaign to disassociate your leftist selves (be you Democrat, dhimmicrat, et. al.) from the likes of which you claim not to claim.

(Pedro – man – don’t you have a real job? My excuse is I am disabled and partially employed — therefore have spare time to hound the blogosphere.)

  4. cxt says:

Heck the ahem….. “mindset” of the Lefties is clearly seen in the “no free speech for fascists” remark.

Guess its nice to be able to throw around that label without regard to its accuracy.

  5. XTeacher says:

    Relax, Pedro.

The fact that you read and reply to what is said on this site with words is very telling. I may always disagree with you, but I want no physical harm to come to you, and I assume that the feeling is mutual. You also have the right to disagree with me as I do with you.

The main difference is that these pigs of the RCP do not recognize dissent from their world view. Professor Horowitz has written of the Academic Left’s “mau-mau” techniques when he was one of its founders/members. This is simply a more absurd and violent form of that.

However, when you see the lunatic Left’s protests with its sloganeering, violence, and distortion, you should keep in mind that these events are sponsored by the RCP and its ilk.

  6. jay says:

What does ‘Bennett/Jones/Bush/Baker’ mean? Like, who is Jones? Does Bill Bennett get two mentions? Why clumped together as a foursome? Maybe the commies hate adult contemporary music ala Tony Bennett/Tom Jones/Kate Bush/Anita Baker?

  7. ShuffleBuster says:

I’m told that when you measure your own worth with respect to the status of your enemies (or those that give a damn about your opinions) you are still an irrelevant minor leaguer. It’s telling that Poe constantly feels the need to enflame the grunt troops with such sensational headlines regarding the enemies of his benevolent patron.

We’re movin on up, to a deluxe blogosphere in the sky-eye!

  8. Gary says:

Jay, it could well be a reference to Jim Jones of the cool-aid brigade, which is what some of the more virulent leftists would have everyone believe represents Christians…

  9. J. Bargholz says:

    Shufflebuster,

it’s telling that commies and other leftists are more interested in forcibly suppressing speech than fostering it. Hypocrites, all.

Ah, the compassion and ethical superiority of lefties. Gotta love ’em.

  10. CBreeze says:

I’m quite sure that Charles Clark Kissinger couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag and that Ann Coulter would most likely beat him down mercilessly.

The Left isn’t exactly known for their ability to wage any sort of combat beyond pie-throwing & the occasional “let’s set something on fire”.

  11. Richard Poe says:

ShuffleBuster writes: “I’m told that when you measure your own worth with respect to the status of your enemies (or those that give a damn about your opinions) you are still an irrelevant minor leaguer. We’re movin on up, to a deluxe blogosphere in the sky-eye!

Can anyone explain to me what ShuffleBuster is saying? I gather it’s a putdown of some sort, but that’s about as much as I could decipher.

  12. Pedro says:

Folks, thank you! You have given me a sense of hope that I don’t see from the extreme left. Both extremist sides are bad. Threaten violence (seriously) is just un-American, period! I mean, even when we disagree, we all proudly declare that we’re Americans!

and Ralph, I have no doubt that the extreme left will eat this up. It makes me sick!

  13. jay says:

    Richard-

Shufflebuster is pointing out your thinly veiled pleasure at being associated with the target of this drama and further that you wish to emphasize the threat from the commies in hopes of advancing your own importance.

  14. Don Miguel says:

Make the photo of Charles Clark Kissinger of the Revolutionary Communist Party black and white and it would look like Charles Clark Kissinger of the National Socialist brown shirts … as if there is a difference!

  15. Richard Poe says:

Jay suggests: “Richard- Shufflebuster is pointing out your thinly veiled pleasure at being associated with the target of this drama and further that you wish to emphasize the threat from the commies in hopes of advancing your own importance.”

Hmmm. Whom do you mean by “the target of this drama” – would that be David Horowitz or Charles Clark Kissinger?

  16. Rocco DiPippo says:

At this point, I say fight fire with fire. In other words, from now on, when Horowitz or other right-wingers speak, they should be flanked by at least ten big, burly Freepers. Enough of this nonsense.

  17. Pedro says:

Rocco, you sound like Osama! I “feel your pain” (I just had to!), but your anger is misplaced, I feel.

  18. ShuffleBuster says:

Nice attempted volley, Richard, but you know exactly what I am saying. And I say it loud and clear, even at the risk of the usual censorship and abrupt disappearance of all I have witnessed express dissent to your average postings.

  19. Richard Poe says:

ShuffleBuster writes: “Nice attempted volley, Richard, but you know exactly what I am saying. And I say it loud and clear, even at the risk of the usual censorship and abrupt disappearance of all I have witnessed express dissent to your average postings.”

Bravely spoken, ShuffleBuster. But, really, I have nothing to gain by pretending not to understand you. My confusion is sincere. Please clarify.

  20. Rocco DiPippo says:

“Pedro the provocateur said,” Rocco, you sound like Osama! I “feel your pain? (I just had to!), but your anger is misplaced, I feel.

When will my “anger” not be misplaced?– when some leftist idiot kills someone because he doesn’t agree with that person’s beliefs?

Let’s be honest Pedro, if a right-wing group tried to physically intimidate Noam Chomsky, it would be front and center in the media for weeks. Since the Left’s heavily implied physical threats against the Right get no such attention, I’m saying that we on the Right need to step up and simply protect our own from those who would harm them physically. By the way, it’s pretty silly of you to compare me to Osama. What’s the point, really?

  21. jay says:

What sort of wuss backs down from ‘heavily implied physical threats’?

  22. RedBeard says:

I don’t see anyone backing down, Jay. Sorry to disappoint you.

  23. ShuffleBuster says:

If jay got it perfectly in #13 above, and you made progress in your reply, #15 above, then why, oh why, do you continue to act like the innocent blind-sided possum? Can’t a staff member in that well supported Scaife/Carthage/Allegheny collection of intelligencia explain it to you? better yet, can’t one of the funded junior underlings quickly ghost-write you a more clever retort to post against me? Come on Richard, you are disappointing the blood-thirsty troops. Feed them some more of your awkward and heavy-handed propaganda, they won’t recognize this polite confused incarnation of Mr. Poe.

  24. Richard Poe says:

Jay wrote: “Shufflebuster is pointing out your thinly veiled pleasure at being associated with the target of this drama and further that you wish to emphasize the threat from the commies in hopes of advancing your own importance.?

Richard Poe responded: “Hmmm. Whom do you mean by “the target of this drama? – would that be David Horowitz or Charles Clark Kissinger?”

Upon which ShuffleBuster remarks: “[J]ay got it perfectly in #13 above, and you made progress in your reply, #15 above…”

    Dear ShuffleBuster:

Okay, so we’re making progress. Damned slow progress, if you ask me, and I don’t think it’s my fault. Now, before everyone on this thread drops dead of boredom, would you please answer my question? Who constitutes “the target of this drama”? Would that be Mr. Horowitz or Mr. Kissinger?

  25. Marimba Man says:

Happens to me all the time!

I started attending “peace” meetings in ’86. I was yelled at all the time for asking how a “peace” group could be raising funds to send to the FMLN. The leader of the NM Peace Council also headed the NM Marxist Educators for Socialist Action and I exposed his affiliation at every meeting. “This man is a Communist aiding Communism in Central America and you see heard it from his own mouth.”

I was early at another meeting and he came out of the church classroom and said, “You’re not welcome here.” I said, “This isn’t Cuba. Freedom of assembly. It’s a public speech and I’m coming in.” He then went to the church office and asked the priest if he could use the phone to call the police. “I’m having a meeting here and there is a man that is intoxicated and he is disrupting the meeting.” He went back to the classroom and so I explained to the priest who this guy was. He never spoke.

The University Police came and they were about to question me when another hard-core activist came in. I said, “Mike, will you be my witness?” He said, “What’s going on?” I said, “Gerry said I was not welcome because I was disrupting the meeting and that I’m drunk.” The man who had NEVER sided with me said, “He’s not drunk and besides the meeting hasn’t even started so how can he disrupt it?”

One cop went to speak to Gerry and came back saying “he doesn’t want you in there.” I said, “I’m going in.” The cop grabbed my arm and said, “Do you want us to rough you up and take you to the university hospital?” I dared him but it went back and forth for a few more minutes and he finally gave in and said, “we’ll let you go in but if you cause trouble we’ll be back.”

THE PRIEST HEARD THE WHOLE THING AND DIDN’T SAY A WORD. Marxists using the church? Liberation Theology?

I also give speeches and some shout but I turn the tables on them by inviting them to the front. “State your views. I’m actually interested.” IT’S ACTUALLY A TRAP! I USE THEIR OWN WORDS TO STAB THEM IN THE BACK. Now, the audience is more interested and I WIN EVERYTIME.

DAVID, I’m happy that you didn’t get hurt. I’ve had nineteen documented death threats against me though and from “peacemakers!”

  26. jay says:

Okay, Rich, the attackers were the commies and the target was DH. You fit in as the swooning sycophant by ginning the story to make ‘implied threat’ into ‘heavily implied physical threat’ and going further to title the bit with a reference to ‘Communist Hit Squad’. We’ve gone from loud talking commies to murder for hire.

Would the real PollyAnna please stand up?

  27. Richard Poe says:

Jay writes: “Okay, Rich, the attackers were the commies and the target was DH.”

Thanks, Jay. Now let’s incorporate this clarification into your previous statement, thus:

“Shufflebuster is pointing out your thinly veiled pleasure at being associated with the target of this drama [David Horowitz] and further that you wish to emphasize the threat from the commies in hopes of advancing your own importance.?

Now, since ShuffleBuster has indicated that you “got it perfectly”, let us extend the clarification process to ShuffleBuster’s earlier remarks, thus:

“I’m told that when you measure your own worth with respect to the status of your enemies (or those that give a damn about your opinions) you are still an irrelevant minor leaguer. It’s telling that Poe constantly feels the need to enflame the grunt troops with such sensational headlines regarding the enemies of his benevolent patron. We’re movin on up, to a deluxe blogosphere in the sky-eye!”

Uh… gee, I’m not sure I can square ShuffleBuster’s statement with your interpretation of it. The two of you seem to be saying two different things.

ShuffleBuster seems to imply that I am trying to aggrandize myself by counterposing myself against enemies grander than myself, such as Generalissimo Clark “El Jefe” Kissinger.

Jay, on the other hand, seems to imply that I seek to aggrandize myself by “being associated” with allies grander than myself, such as David Horowitz.

ShuffleBuster, can you help us sort this out?

  28. jay says:

Actually, Rich, the criticisms are not mutually exclusive and are rooted in your tendency toward drama and self-aggrandizement. A pro like you could probably spin a self-serving story more than just two ways.

  29. dark900 says:

The only fascists and Nazis are the Communists who are preventing Conservatives like David Horowitz to speak at colleges. I know, the Leftists at my college I go to invited the Hawaiian professor Trask who believed that people who had different views from her shouldn’t speak at the college.

What a bunch of hyprocrites. I say, the government which funds these universities should have the right to pull the plug on these Leftist groups that are receiving tax payer money from people who don’t agree with their political agenda.

  30. ShuffleBuster says:

Sure, let me try to help you Richard. Firstly, don’t skim over the part that goes:

“oh why, do you continue to act like the innocent blind-sided possum? Can’t a staff member in that well supported Scaife/Carthage/Allegheny collection of intelligencia explain it to you? better yet, can’t one of the funded junior underlings quickly ghost-write you a more clever retort to post against me? Come on Richard, you are disappointing the blood-thirsty troops. Feed them some more of your awkward and heavy-handed propaganda, they won’t recognize this polite confused incarnation of Mr. Poe.”

Anyway, you pretty much summed it up Rich – my sentiments, in your elegant post #27.

Now, is it not about time for you to move in for the kill and show the troops your mettle? Usually a contributor is executed (read: censored and blocked from further comment) before you declare that you are saving the troops from boredom. You are slipping and you probably need a new play-book. Remember the Peter Principle Mr. Newly Anointed Managing Editor. I know your trigger finger (read: remove from list button) is itching.

  31. Richard Poe says:

Jay writes: “Actually, Rich, the criticisms are not mutually exclusive and are rooted in your tendency toward drama and self-aggrandizement. A pro like you could probably spin a self-serving story more than just two ways.”

Oh. Okay. So, uh… that’s it?

That statement encapsulates your critique of this story? And ShuffleBuster’s critique as well?

  32. ShuffleBuster says:

Come on Rich now it’s time to ceremoniously declare that you have let me have my say, and that you have been more than fair, and that you will tolerate no more of my inferior commentary (in the name of good blogmanship, of course) and lower the proverbial boom.

  33. jay says:

The encapsulated version is that A) men should be able to take a punch and not whine about it and B) ‘heavily implied physical threats’ don’t count.

  34. Pedro says:

Rocco, settle, boy! When I said your anger was misplaced, I guess it was a call to have everyone relax a minute. Eye for an eye sounds great in theory, but in the end, it leaves us all dead. Hence the Osama comparison. And also, I knew it would make you fly off the handle and show your true colors. I guess I’d rather see you “beat up” on me in here than physically attack someone unprovoked. Self defense I’m down with. Beat downs, I’m not.

  35. cxt says:

Notice that all the Lefty arguments involve the “motives” of DH and his defenders.

Not a single one has anything to say about the outright and “in your face” fascism of purposely attempting to deny others the very right to speak.

Then they turn around and call OTHER people “fascists.”

    Sheesh……. (rolls eyes in disgust)

  36. dgene says:

A hit list is the product of scum who are unwilling to argue their ideas in open debate.

Seems these commies and Islam have much in common.

Recollect reading Winston’s 1939 speech where he tells his audience that the dictators are terrified of free speech – of even one small idea – because of what it could do.

  37. dgene says:

    Shufflebuster:

Exlax is good for what ails you. Get some relief, hopefully not here.

  38. Richard Poe says:

Rocco writes: “From now on, when Horowitz or other right-wingers speak, they should be flanked by at least ten big, burly Freepers. Enough of this nonsense.”

    [snip]

Pedro responds: “Rocco, settle, boy!… Self-defense I’m down with. Beat downs, I’m not.”
    __________________________________

    Dear Pedro:

I’m glad to hear that you’re “down” with self-defense. Since Rocco was advocating self-defense, I am puzzled as to what you found objectionable in his words.

    Please explain.

  39. Richard Poe says:

Jay writes: “[M]en should be able to take a punch and not whine about it…”

It is always fascinating to hear leftists hold forth on the topic of manhood… fascinating because it is so rare, and so obviously insincere.

Tell me, Jay, how does our faint-hearted friend Pedro rate on your “manhood” scale, based upon his posts to this thread?

  40. jay says:

Who you calling a Leftist, bitch?

  41. Richard Poe says:

Jay writes: “Who you calling a Leftist, bitch?”

If that’s a joke, please put a smiley face on the end of your sentence, so people won’t mistake your meaning.

On the other hand, if it’s not a joke, then you lack the maturity to post to this blog.

Please let me know which it is. And don’t take too long deciding. My patience has worn thin enough, as it is.

  42. RedBeard says:

Interesting thread. Sure brings out the true demented character of the left, in more than one sense.

  43. kyle says:

ShuffleBuster, why would he remove your posts? They are both funny and stupid at the same time.

What, you think this is a tempest in a teapot because this is just a fringe group of commies? Would that it were so, but it is indicative of a growing trend of intolerance and hatred from the left. You don’t want to see it, but the rest of us can see it.

  44. RedBeard says:

I don’t get it, Rocco. Why did you post a link to a picture of Helen Thomas?

    😉

  45. hammersmith says:

OH BOY!!! Can I get an Army hat and play revolutionary too???!!!

What a loaf. This guys shoulders are even more anemic than Bill Mahers. I bet he gets yeast infections.

Farrakhan is always flanked by his super dooper tough body guards “the fruits of islam”.

I think David needs “The Sons of Liberty”

Seriously though. We all know when and where Mr. Horowitz is speaking. It wouldnt be hard to attend and cover the exits.

  46. ShuffleBuster says:

Kyle writes: “ShuffleBuster, why would he remove your posts? They are both funny and stupid at the same time.”

Kyle, my paranoia on being locked out of this blog is very justified. I have, as I am sure you have, witnessed many selective prosecutions by the established thought police.

For instance, note in #41 above how Richard Poe appears incensed at the use of profanity, as he actually should be. But many, many more outrageous and vulgar outburst are tolerated, overlook, I dare say encouraged daily on this blog. This particular thread has been refreshingly disciplined and void of the worst pack mentality. Until of course post #44 appeared.

I’m not fond of profanity in public, but the use of b**ch in this day and age, this familiar, common, TV-suckled, mass-media culture seems no more vulgar than referring to someone as scum. (See #36 by dgene.) But since dgene tows the blog party line it is highly unlikely that he will be chastised for his “lack of maturity?.

What will Richard Poe say to Rocco about the inappropriateness of #44?

But, rest assured any commentator expressing dissent from this blog’s party line is soon under surveillance and is held strictly to some arbitrary standard of “gentlemanly? behavior. It’s human nature to abuse power. It’s a corrupt prerogative kind of thing. And this blog is not immune from it.

  47. TexasTom says:

It’s ironic that a Leftist would complain about rules being arbitrary.

  48. Rocco DiPippo says:

Shufflebuster said, “This particular thread has been refreshingly disciplined and void of the worst pack mentality. Until of course post #44 appeared.

I’ll answer you–You have no sense of humor–lose the sanctimony. Come to think of it, from my experiences, lack of humor and endless displays of sickening sanctimony are two defining traits of leftists.

  49. Rocco DiPippo says:

One other thing: For the most part, we right-wingers are far more tolerant of opposing points of view than leftists are. See how long a right-winger as obnoxious as you would last commenting on a blog like Daily Kos.
